Sutter Amador Hospital, in cooperation with the American Cancer Society, is now coordinating services for the Amador County Cancer Transportation Program, otherwise known as the Cancer Van. This volunteer program is provides free patient transportation to Sacramento, Stockton and Lodi facilities for radiation treatment.

Amador County Cancer Transportation Program
The Cancer Van is an invaluable service to local residents who otherwise would not have transportation to their life-saving radiation treatment.

Cancer Van Funding
The Amador County Cancer Transportation Program provides funds to purchase and maintain the cancer van. The program is entirely supported by community donations and operated by volunteer drivers. Insurance for the Cancer Van is provided by the American Cancer Society.

For Ambulatory Patients
Due to the fact that the Amador County Cancer Transportation Program is a voluteer-based program, patients riding the Cancer Van must be ambulatory and able to transfer in and out of the Cancer Van without assistance from the Cancer Van driver.

Sacramento

Van departs Sutter Amador Hospital at 7:30am. The van is located in the cul-de-sac at the south end of Mission Blvd., Jackson.

Other pick up locations: One Stop Market, Ione and the Park and Ride on Highway 16, Plymouth.

Lodi/Stockton

Van departs Sutter Amador Hospital at 11:30am. The van is located in the cul-de-sac at the south end of Mission Blvd., Jackson.
