Amador County Cancer Transportation Program

Amador STARS (Support, Transportation and Resource Services) now coordinates the Cancer Transportation Program, which was previously coordinated by Sutter Amador Hospital. This free service offers local cancer patients rides to and from cancer treatments in Sacramento, Lodi and Stockton facilities.

Volunteer Drivers Wanted

The Cancer Transportation Program is always in need of volunteer drivers. Volunteers have the option of either driving on a weekly basis or they may substitute for a regular driver as their schedule allows. Volunteer drivers must complete an application and submit a copy of their driving record, which they can receive from the DMV.
