Sutter Amador Hospital has served the residents of Amador County and the surrounding area since 1876. We are a not-for-profit organization with a dedicated, community based governing board. The administration and staff at Sutter Amador feel a strong commitment to their commmunity. Sutter Amador Hospital supports the community in a variety of ways.

Community Benefit

Contributions to our community include charity care to low-income or uninsured patients needing medical treatment, participation in education programs, involvement in the boards of other not-for-profit organizations as well as providing community services such as the annual Health and Fitness Festival. Special Events

The hospital also sponsors local events such as the Diaper Derby at the Ione Homecoming, the Great Sutter Creek Duck Race, the livestock auction at the Amador County Fair, the Health and Fitness Festival and others. Take a look at our Calendar of Events for more information.

Volunteer Services

Community members have an opportunity to partner with Sutter Amador Hospital through Volunteer Services. This includes participation in the Auxiliary, Junior Volunteer Program and the Cancer Transportation Program. Philanthropic Support

The community has also supported the hospital through the New Hospital Campaign, raising over $1.4 million dollars for equipment enhancements.
