Family Birth Center Project
Sutter Amador Hospital's (SAH) Foundation Board is currently leading efforts to raise funds to purchase a new GE Centricity Perinatal Central Monitoring System for SAH's Family Birth Center.
Centricity Perinatal Central Monitoring System
When SAH's original Perinatal Unit opened in 2000, it was equipped with what was then considered to be a state-of-the-art bedside monitoring system. But in the eight years that have passed, increasing patient volume and advances in medical technology have made it clear that a central monitoring system is imperative.
The GE Centricity Perinatal Central Monitoring System is one of the most technically advanced and flexible systems available today. With this system, staff can monitor labor contractions and both mother and baby's heart rate from either the bedside or a central nurses' station. The unique split screen feature even allows staff to monitor multiple patients at one time -- from any station.
This all adds up to a system that ensures SAH can maintain the high level of patient safety we always have, whether caring for several patients or just one.

Your Gift Can Be Doubled
Thanks to a $60,000 dollar-for-dollar matching grant from Sutter Health, whatever you are able to give in support of this vital project will instantly bring us twice as close to our goal. But we have to raise our half by the end of 2008.
The GE Centricity Perinatal Central Monitoring System that is the best fit for SAH will cost up to $200,000. The package includes seven bedside workstations, two nurse work stations, five fetal monitors and additional software for remote physician access, charting and birth log recording.
We cannot know what life has in store for a child after they leave the hospital, but we can make sure each baby who starts his or her journey here, does so in the safest, healthiest way.
